Description: Tales of Suspense #49 This professionally graded piece of comics history is the first ever X-Men Crossover. It was at this time, the Silver Age of Comics, that Marvel laid the foundation for its comic empire...and this issue is a key piece. Just look at the Jack Kirby cover art - that in itself is representative of the entire era. Inside are stories by legends Stan Lee, the Marvel mastermind himself, and Larry Lieber who is known for scripting the first appearances of Iron Man and Thor. Perhaps best of all, the main-story artwork is by Steve Ditko, best known for, among other things, co-creating Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. This issue was graded Apparent 8.0 Restored Grade by CGC-- but just a "small amount of color touch on cover" is noted, and the restoration is coded as SLIGHT and Professional.
